THE FRAME

…is Zermatt’s new summer pop-up restaurant, perched high above the sun-drenched balconies of the Backstage Hotel. On the terrace, guests enjoy a spectacular panoramic view — featuring a perfectly framed vista of the Matterhorn, surrounded by an impressive open-air installation by Heinz Julen.

The Frame captures the essence of summer with a touch of French Riviera flair — light, relaxed, and effortlessly stylish. Set amidst the mountains, the terrace creates a unique atmosphere shaped by warm lights, fresh alpine air, and carefree moments.

Under the direction of Josef Sukup, guests can expect a creative culinary concept that celebrates the spirit of summer — perfect for indulgent afternoons and long evenings under the open sky in the heart of Zermatt.

During the winter months, The Frame takes a creative break and will reopen its doors in
June 2027
